"subtitle": "What gets checked before a generated game is allowed out",
"abstract": "Anyone can generate a game. The interesting question is what happens next: what gets checked before a build is allowed out, and what a human is able to do about any of it. This session walks the Sealed Jars pipeline from specification to verified build, shows the editors a human can open at each stage, and spends most of its time on the verification checklist: all mathematics recomputed from the finished ticket pool, advertised payouts matched against the wins the pool can actually produce, backgrounds read for text, game titles read back letter by letter, asset and bonus completeness, reel simulation, and an automated play-through: the checks that reject work before anyone sees it. It is also clear about the limits, including the checks that are not run: name and trademark clearance is legal work done by people, outside this pipeline.",
"summary": "The main argument is that verification is about internal consistency and measured behavior—recomputing mathematics, validating against the spec, and ensuring the build is reproducible—while aesthetic, legal, or commercial judgments occur outside the pipeline. Key points include an eight-stage process with a verification gate, rechecking all reported numbers and slot mechanics, validating every file and artwork, running automated playtests, and storing inputs with generated assets to allow re-builds and exportable PAR sheets. The pipeline enforces hard stops for incomplete or inconsistent packages, missing or corrupted files, misreads by vision models, and any play failures, while human editors can intervene and re-verify after overrides. Open questions or disagreements acknowledged include the limits of models, the need for human review to catch subtler failures, and the distinction that verification does not guarantee commercial value or artistic quality.",
